As I mentioned the weather was beautiful as the sun finally appeared..
The sun sets quite early this time of the year, and it does so rapidly. The sun gave the surroundings a yellowish/orange color overlay that was so dominant. One could not look straight in to the sun with out making a grimace, and then be blinded for a few seconds.
As can be observed in the photos presented in the previous post, the direction of light falls on her left side of the face from a, close to, horizontal angle.. At first it was a poor solution to the problem of 'looking in to the light frowning and suffering from short-term light blindness', but as the artistic instincts kicked in new ideas appeared. We worked from new angles and now the shadows had a meaning. She became more mysterious. Although, I would still have liked to have the opportunity of redirecting the light, and to even it out using reflectors. Dear Santa, I wish for a reflector for Christmas, in an appropriate size, at least 80cm...
Nevertheless, I'm pleased with the outcome of the photos and inspired for new projects, spontaneous and/or planned. Below are some pictures from the photoshoot that support my rambling above... (Click on the photos to see them in larger format and in better quality)
One of my new favorite photos of Amanda, mysterious and serious.
A quite rare expression on my best friend and model...

Keep your face to the sun...
